To say the guy is an idiot for putting his feet in the water makes you look like an idiot. Maybe he was cooling off his feet etc? I've been Kayakfishing Malibu for probably 14 years and I've never had anything nibble on my feet. Don't be a judgmental ahole. If anything you should feel sorry for the guy and hope he feels better.

Ya, I believe he said he had this shark on his hook and it was kayak-side when it bit him.

From the news reports, this guy was an experienced kayaker/shark fisherman.
If he had a hammer kayak-side and had his foot in the water when he got bit, he didn't use good judgement. Sometimes experience brings on complacency. He will probably be a bit more careful in the future. |

Saw the interview. Best thing he said when asked about the "attack" was that he wasn't attacked, he had it on his line and the hh was just trying to get away. NO ATTACK on the sharks part. He took responsibility for it bitting him.

Thanks. The news used the ATTACK word just to inflame the story. Figures. He is lucky he didn't loose one of his piggy's. Hopefully he will be a bit more careful next time he brings one along side his kayak. |
