Fresh Bug Bait Report and Osprey Encounter
So out pops the eye of one of my greenies (the old shiner/largemouth bass trick) and back in the water it goes. A minute later, this beautiful bird is bombing next to me and has dinner in its talons. Someone with a quality camera can have a nice photo oppty... |

I thought I saw you, I was going to come say hi but you were going the other way
The greenies having been out of control the past few days. I've just been throwing out a bare 1/0 hook and hooking tree trunks on the retireve lately. Plenty of bug bait to get me through the season |

Thanks for sharing your photo. I grew up around the water in SD and I can't remember seeing osprey. They are in about every bay and lake in so cal now. DDT out-cool birds in. Mike
