I had an incident a couple months ago, two Shimanos, I took one apart and the sand was so fine, I washed it with wd 40 relubed and still couldn't
get it to free spool, and not feel like a grinder, I sent them in, I got them back and one blew up in a DP tourney, sent it back and a few weeks later had a new reel, the reel I blew up had alot of time and fishies on it, might be worth it IMO...
