I bet that fish just fell into your lap. It takes alot of hard work to find fish when there is no open bite, this guy puts in the effort and the time and aquired knowlege to be rewarded with that yellowtail. Thats what fishing is all about, the time spent hunting and if your sucessful the kill. To me that is a true fisherman.

I fished all morning for nothing, but seeing your fish just blew my mind, very nice fish. I think I saw you pass us and head for the outer point of kelp. Again very nice yellow.

OK, I will be the one to ask the question that dozens of people who read this post have probably asked themselves. What the hell does a small pod of large yellowtail cruising look like?

Granted I have not spent nearly enough time on the water yet but I cannot say that I have ever been able to spot fish on the surface. I know the signs for bait and birds. What are the signs of big fish that we should be looking for?
