I don't think I will ever keep a 29in sheepshead again.
The one I caught was really strong and fishy tasting I'm thinking it sat uncleaned in the bottom of a fish hole 🕳 to many days uncleaned even though it was kept at the right temperature.

I get pissed when watching many different fishing shows in Florida, were they mispronounce Isla Morada. They get the second word right but, how in the hell with all the Spanish speaking people can't they be corrected from Butchering up the word Isla (EES-LA) NOT frickin I like (eye). It frankly is disrespectful.

I guess the point that I was making is missed.

There is no Pacific sheepshead.

There is a Pacific sheephead though. No S.

As to the taste, if it is handled properly, to me is second to lobster. To each is own I hear.

The first time I saw the name, I read it as Islam orada!!!! Orada in Turkish means there. Islam there?

Then I heard it pronounced.
