For some reason I thought the end of the post was gonna have a little blood. Good to see that it didn't though.

Sharks
They're kind of like dogs, they can kind of bend in half. Just because you have the tail, doesn't mean you are in control of the business end!

Leopard sharks are definitely dangerous, I hate catching those things. If you bring them up on to your lap....well you can see what can happen. They're super strong and they can roll on a dime...a lot of times your sinker will already be missing when you bring the shark up, just due to the shark rolling around and biting at whatever it thinks is trying to get it.

Yeah I don't know why anyone would try to boat one. a hook or a sinker isn't worth it

Hook, maybe not, with the price of lead, sinker is worth it to me. I lap almost all leopard sharks and remove hook if I can. They're strong and they can still get you even if you're hands are on their tail, but two hands takes care of that. Makos and threshers, that's a different story.

If you have 2 hands on the Leopard, who is taking out the hooks? Let them tire themselves out and just pop the hooks at yak side.

So did the power and ducer wires hold the FF, or was it donated?
I've had a close one with a YT smacking my FF, but fortunately it did not pop off. |

George, just go buy a pair of pliers.
Quit being so stubborn....all the cool guys use pliers these days... Or start working out so that you too will develop large muscles capable of controlling sharks in your lap. I know that there is at least one guy that could train you. Good luck with the whole pliers thing....call Yak Doubt...he can give you a lesson on proper plier use...... |
