24 Hours

Had a busy 24 hours...

Yesterday I left La Mesa at 3:30 pm to check out Kaijuu's Revo for sale in Vista
Fish talked for an hour or so and drove it home...!
Went into work (7:30 pm)to post my Outback for sale and got four replies in 15 min
Met potential buyer at Shelter at 9:30pm...sold it
Took my new yak to Lake Morena this morning (had to!)
Windy from the get-go but was told they had some brood fish in there so I stayed with it most of the day. I put a 2.5# on the stringer early. On the way in...done and tired of mostly peddling I slid through the cove left of the dock for one last shot and was gifted a beauty. Walked out of the Ranger's office at 3:05pm...9.25# their scale on 4# line. My new yak catches fish...in freshwater.

What a beauty.

Nice fish on even 10# line. I don't fish the local lakes much but your fish seems to be about as big as any I have heard about. Do they get any bigger around here?

Morena's Ranger office is plastered with numerous pictures of QUALITY fish...caught this season. I saw a picture of a 14# on the wall. My buddy told me about their stocking of these bigger fish this year. There were maybe (6) boats and yaks on the water today.

Those damn blue hobies, they suck! Stop catching all my fish!

Don't you know the minimum size is 28 inches?

Congrats on the fish and a beautiful boat!

Nice catch !

That's a nice big fish !

I am a little scared of tsunami in ocean now ( after viewing those TV News replay everyday ).. maybe I should fish more in a lake.

Does lake have tsunami too ?

Thanks to everyone. I got it on my old school "Sierras Special"...
the Thomas Bouyant (now don't go laughing). Something about that line twisting, ball peen hammered lure that works for me.

Nice yak and fish. Well done on the light line...

You're on a roll...just keep the yak on the car and hit La Jolla for a night session for some WSB.
