Keep in mind the MLPA is about MARINE HABITAT, not low fish stocks. If you start talking about slot limits or fish in general they'll cut you off.

I think the point they were trying to make is that the environmentalist side distorts the facts inorder to make things sound much worse than they really are... data can be interpreted many ways depending on how you look at it.

yes, you're right... but one of the main arguments the environmentalist use is that fish stocks are depleted, and they seem to think that marine protected areas will change this...

You're right as well. I just wanted to point that out because I've seen then cut people short all the time for addressing fisheries instead of kelp, reefs, rocks, coral, etc.
