Quick No Fish Report
Meant to get up early but enjoyed thanksgiving a little too much and slept in. Launched at 10 to ankle slappers and no wind. Looked for squid for a while in the typical spots and didn't find any. A guy named Chris gave me a couple. Thanks Chris. Tons of maks all over including some on the surface. Fished an iron and some fresh dead squid for a few hours. Didn't hear about any fish getting caught. Easy landing. I left the kayak on my car for tomorrow morning. I'm getting up early. |

I launched about 4:00 am this morning. Pretty much the same story for me. Was able to catch a few squid.

Launched around 5:15.
easy macs, a little smaller now 5-7in. Got one squirt. Some cool cat (Jeremy) out of the blue offers me some squid. Big thanks for the help Jeremy. Too bad they went to waste in my hands. Met a few BWE guys, hello Erick , hope your Lobser search tonight pays off. No waves at the beach, nice conditions, maybe a little cold before sunrise. Matt |

Got to LJ shores at 0545 today and the car dash read 37*F. I even saw the little snowflake warning light for the 1st time as temp dipped below 35* on my drive south. Started to rig up when I rec'd a text mssg that my buddy wasn't going to make it. A stiff breeze developed so I packed things up and went back to Dana Pt. to join JB and SanOMick. Launched at DP an hour later (and 10 degrees warmer!) where I C&R'ed 2 hali, several sculpin, and kept a nice calico. It was pretty much a lake from Doho to the pipe and turned out to be a pleasant day afterall..

I did get a nice fish last week, but didn't post due to all of the hullaballoo over posting. Got a huge assist from THE KID. Here is a photo.
Best tasting yellowtail I've ever eaten. Must be all the squid. Good times! |

Nice one, Tom!
And the fact that this trophy is hidden in a "no fish report"---even better!

No worries Tom, sorry that bait didn't produce for you. Nice fish there! Yea no luck for me friday either, although made lots of squirts even into the afternoon. Pulled them all off the bottom right by the bouy working the glow chain as slowly as possible. You know its bad when even the lazy ass seagulls are gorging on floaters with no competition.
