Baja

Just returned from Baja and had a great trip! NO need to dodge bullets, no problems in the Northern sections, and tons of people who waive to you and say hello in passing The fishing was "slow" down that way due to colder waters and could only fish for a limited time due to offshore winds but still was able to land 8 YT (lost 4 to rocks on lighter tackle), 2 Gulf Grouper, tons of big bonito, few small halibut, tons of barred sand bass and spotted bay bass, hand full of barracuda, greenback mackeral, spanish mackeral, yellowfin croaker, corbina, lizard fish, smelt, two large Calico Bass (one was 10 -12 lbs), and my personal best YT to date (no scale) but guessing 30-33 lbs......here is the video

camped on the beach just south of town..........real windy in the afternoons and I ate a lot of sand........but worth it! Just had to withstand a bit of a daily beat down by the wind.....

Thanks Jason...we will have to hook up soon!

beating down fish with the pot Actually my battery for the bait tank wasn't getting fully charged some days. So I would grab some water with the pot and would throw it over the shoulder into my bait tank.......beats a cut down water bottle and live bait kicked butt down there

Very nice. The hat cam was actually a really good vantage point as long as you don't tilt your head sideways. I enjoyed your movie!

Cool. Thanks for sharing. Man that is a super wide angle lens on that camera. At times it looked like your paddle was either broken or you had two.

By the time I got done fighting the fish I had lost my friend in the fog for a bit........whistle came in handy.......no one else around and we were using our compasses to get around.......fun stuff! Only one brief Mako encounter when it ate my Mac
