Negative on the weld...........the cart came with the yak. The o.d. of the axle is 3/4". I also have the reducers that go on the wheels if they are needed. The cart was to narrow for my yak, if I left the yak on the cart for more than 20 - 30 minutes it would deform the bottom of the yak. I ended up making a new cart that fits throught the scupper holes and sits slightly closer to the center of the yak.
P.s......please don't be afraid to make an offer. I'd prefer jigs or plastics over cash but will consider all offers. Hell, I don't know what unibutter cost but I'll even take a jar or two of it as a trade. Last edited by jorluivil; 08-03-2010 at 03:08 PM. |

Hey Jorge,
welcome aboard and .....ohhh wait we use this one on here. Anyway just wanted to warn you about scupper carts. To the best of my knowledge Hobie is the only yak designed to use a scupper type cart. Alot of the other yaks have cracking issues in the scupper area from using scupper carts. I don't know the exact details but I'm sure someone else will pop in and give you some advise, otherwise any of the OEX stores could steer you in the right direction. What yak did you end up getting anyway? |
