yellowtail picture.

This was my best day back in June when they were biting. 27lbs was my biggest one, all caught on squid. I was pretty sore the next day, good fighters. One took me about 30 minutes to get. Maybe I should keep my drag tighter, but I loose fish when i mess with it.

till next time..

sick! those fish pull hard no matter how you set the drag, I think Tristan had barely landed his fish just before you got yours.... I remember cause I had to let him borrow a gaff.

Nice fish

Perfect timing!

Who knew Justine Hennin-Hardenne was into kayak fishing? Maybe if you can help me with my clay-court play---I don't know, brush up my second serve a bit---we could trade for some cooridinates?

And this for sticking a dull knife into the side of the guys who paddle for countless hours---without catching anything, but a token Halibut here and there .

NICE !!!

I was wondering when you where going to show up on here.

Sooo... where's the GUY responsible for tieing your knots, pinning the ikky bait on , gaffing the fish and ripping it's gills out?

I did all the work, gaffed it, bled it.. so on. I did let someone fillet them for me. but I had caught a yellow earlier that week and cut that one up...

Way to nail a couple toads!!

We baited up "Aaron and Julie" a couple weeks ago from the skiff....and watch her nail 3 WSB in quick fashion!! I think she had 2 before Aaron had 1....

Ladies Slayers....Love it!!

I saw you! It was super bitch'in !!!

I wasn't trying to be mean....just dulling the knife a little more for all those guys that where trolling the forums waiting for the next "bite", or those who are reading this but are still a little skiddish about taking there first trip thru the surf.

You also hooked into a 100+lb blackie, got towed all over hells half acre, fought it to the yak and made a clean release...

You handled those fish like a PRO !!!!

Jeff,
Close to correct. I nailed 2 before she nailed her second, and that's how we ended up.

She did manage to hook her first using the frozen dead squid we brought, once you called us over. All the rest were caught using the live candy you turned us on to. 3 out of 4 on glow jigs with squid, Julie's second on a dropper loop.

Once again, thanks for the call over and use of your net. The day surely wouldn't have been as productive, otherwise.

Here's our picture on the beach. The ones in the sand are deceptively smaller than they actually were.

Aaron
P.S. Yeah, I love my lady slayer, and admire all other women gutsy enough to go after quality fish from a 'yak.
