yea i went out today. wasnt that bad, its been worse. went out in a zodiac. waited for the surf to die down a little for like 5 minutes then walked the boat out past the surf and hopped in. got a little bit of water in the boat during the landing though

Definitely do-able this morning. There was an occasional bigger swell but they were well spaced so easy to time. It was a very low tide launch which I don't like since that seems to bunch up the swells.

Surfline calls for 1-2 poor to fair surf fro friday and sat.

Surf wasnt too bad today. Some sneaker sets coming throught about 1.5 to 2 feet. The intervals are pretty consistent.

Oh...and about 30 people got stung by sting rays at the launch today...Watch your feet!

But, the launch is usually clear at La Jolla, and all you see are leopards down below. Been stung by sculpins a couple of times, too. I'd say the pain from the 'ray was worse, both immediately and long term (at least 10 days). What a relief it was to get my foot into hot water, though. Aaron

I was shuffling out to launch on sunday and good thing. I scared one that I would have for sure stepped on.
