More good buggin 03-01 SD - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I needed my on the water fix so I grabbed the yak after the storm and met up with Josh and headed out on a bug hunt.

Big swell and lots of Naval activity made for an interesting paddle out of the harbor. We made it to our destination and set the hoops waiting for the darkness. Hoops were in and 1st pull came about 30 minutes after dark. I'm glad the bugs were crawling because we fished deeper water than we normally do and long pulls off the yak SUCK!!!!!!!

We were into them right away. Some just keepers and a few bigger models mixed in with them. Josh and I had our limits by around 8:30 and were on our way back in. Hit the beach about 9:45 and called it a night.

A nice night out after the storm and good bugs to go with. Killed another cigar and carne asada burrito. A liitle chill was in the air. A couple nips of Jack took care of that.

Great night out. I'll have to try and get out again before the seaon is over.
