LJ 3/31 Quick AM Report

A friggin desert with uphill current. Couldn't even make bait along the kelp line.

Brief yoyo session out in 100 ft, zero bait or birds. Back to the beach by 7:30am.

Water is 58 and 25+ foot visibility at the kelp.

Passed Holy Mack on the way in. Ran into MS on the beach, told him to go home, but nothing stops him from fishing.

Hopefully they have a better report after the late morning tide change.

Pat

That's funny, he told me the same thing on my way out....I can still verify; it was beyond slow.

Good seeing ya'll, here is my report:

Slow... Very hard to find bait, only made 3 scarce pieces, then one drop 3 greenies in the 9inch class... Slow trolled for nada, cast FT's, burned Iron's for nada. Ran into Pat, he was having a slow morning. Decided to drop a mack to the bottom, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, lingcod about 24inches C&R, a day early!!

Saw the Madscientist, gave him a couple pieces of bait... Pretty much slow out there. Water was clear green on the inside, turning to aqua-blue past the buoy, then deep blue towards horseshoe and around the corner... At least the Vis will be good for diving tomorrow. Landed to 1 footers, ran into Dan. He was headed for a lunch run, hope he had better luck.

This wouldn't happen to be the Islander trip would it? I received a call about it being cancelled...hopefully this is another trip you are referring to...good luck out there if it is, I'm looking forward to the report!

Not the islander trip, it was canceled due to some boat problems and lack of reservations.
