Response to Evan Fox...IPA bull$hit...

Now that we can exercise our Free Speech, I plan to let them know exactly how I feel...more of us need to do the same, and let them know they will be held accountable.

This is my response to an email I just rec'd...believe me, I planned to be a tad more straight forward, that will come in time...

My next question for them will be to find out the funding process for this...and I don't mean enforcement, something entirely different. We know Paul was not paid, how about the other side?

His email to follow my response...bring it on...

Thanks Evan,

Please forward this to the other members of your 'elite' staff...

"In addition, the BRTF has unanimously (5-0) adopted a preferred MPA proposal for the south coast study region. Development of materials and evaluations for the MLPA South Coast Integrated Preferred Alternative MPA Proposal is currently underway."

So much for the 'extensive public input'...

I am so glad I was able to partake in this and have my voice heard (unlikely) and better yet, so glad my 9-year old son got to partake, speak up for what he believes in, only to find out the BRTF does not care what he thinks, they will do what they see fit.

You could've saved everyone alot of time, stress and money had you just informed us from the onset that the BRTF were going to change, make amends, and do what they want to without the publics' input. But then again, at least you left a little open for us, right?

Don't think this will be the last of it. CA has been RR'd by the BRTF and they know it.

The Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) Blue Ribbon Task Force (BRTF) reviewed the Round 3 MLPA South Coast Regional Stakeholder Group (SCRSG) marine protected area (MPA) proposals at its recent meeting (October 20-22, and November 10). The BRTF approved a motion to forward the three SCRSG proposals, including recommended changes from the stakeholders, to the California Fish and Game Commission. In addition, the BRTF has unanimously (5-0) adopted a preferred MPA proposal for the south coast study region. Development of materials and evaluations for the MLPA South Coast Integrated Preferred Alternative MPA Proposal is currently underway. In the coming weeks, additional materials related to the IPA will be posted on the website as they become available. The evaluations for the IPA and the three SCRSG proposals will be presented to the California Fish and Game Commission at its upcoming meeting on December 9.
