Julie takes a mulligan!!!!!!!!!!
Went north for some action...so here's the story...
After 5 successful trips of catching legal halibut, we thought we'd try for one more before the storms came in. Picked up sardines and headed to Doheny. We usually fish on weekdays, but made it out before the crowd. A very good tide change (+8-foot), plus some of the conditions we've had good luck with before had us hoping for good things to come. Bait (sardines) were much smaller than usual, but alive none the less. At about 7:30AM, high tide, Julie starts fighting the beast (46.8lbs on a certified scale): Aaron, relagated to deckhand/guide provided all the assists, coaching, cuttting lines, etc. After 20 minutes or so, up comes the 1st barndoor. Aaron encourages Julie to keep fishing, telling her there can be another barndoor out there for either of us. Less than 30 minutes after she is back in the water, she blows her whistle for Aaron's assistance. He comes, not believing it could be another barndoor, but taking all the necessary precautions, cutting lines, etc. Finally her 2nd fish of a lifetime comes up (34.0lbs). One bitchen' day for the 2 of us. We realize it is one of her catch of a lifetime days. And we will be blown away for days to come. Here's the cheesy driveway photo of them both:

Just freek'n awesome!....when I landed I saw these two tails hang'n out a ice chest....unbelievable!! Great job! A few of us did some long range recon patrols to some different areas and I ended the day with a 15lbr. I hope the two of you are entered in the tourney in a couple weeks, your on a hot streak at that place, you'll definitely be a favorite to win.

Now those are some nice butts. You both have the touch. I might go bass now. At least I'll have a chance then.

Kudos to both of you. Super cool to see a couple out there working together and landing HUGE fish! Nice butts biggest I've heard of in those waters! Sweetness.
