After work Big Bay Fun 8-27-09
Conditions were awesome last night. The wind stopped blowing and the water galssed off. It made for some very good drifts with the outgoing tide and and a nice paddle back to the launch as it slacked. I tried to get a good picture shortly after sunset. Couldn't hold the camera still enough for a good shot. The one attached does not do the late sunset justice. The sun on the buildings with the rest of the sky being dark is very cool. San Diego......what a terrible place to be. Bug season soon bro. Let's get em. Fish Count: 21 Spotties 3 Sand Bass 2 Flatties (19 and 21 inch) 4 lizard fish All C&R and all on Gulp __________________ |

Met up with Sherm at about 4:30 at SI. Tide was at it's high peak and just starting to go out. Launched and headed over to our 1st spot. Spotties were HUNGRY last night. Pretty much whatever we threw at them they ate. Drifted down aways and near a good drop off. Caught a few almost legal flatties. There seemed to be quite a few in the area as both Scott and I were hooked up on them at the same time. Kept trying for a big Mama or Poppa but only kept getting the juvies .
Headed back in just as dustkwas over and dark was setting in. I probably C&R'ed close to 20 spotties and a couple of just short flatties. Fish caught using misc. plastics smothered in Uni butter & Gulp swimming mullet. A very relaxing evening of feeshin and chilling with the wingman . Peace, Spyder |

It should be a nice day out there. Good luck. Hopefully you are there when the tide is flowing.

Haven't fished tidelands al;l summer. I may have to get back there soon. Sounds like you had a good time there. Moyer tourney coming soon. I may need to fish LJ a bunch getting ready for that. The bay fish may be safe for a few days. Maybe not
