LJ 2/21 PM, 2/22 AM
Got up this morning and got down just a bit later than I wanted. Watched Pat make a remarkably wet launch through fairly small surf. We headed way out where some birds were moving around. The short of it...it never happened. Looked promising for a while and a fish or two may have been spotted but no real action. Sardines everywhere. |

I chased birds around way outside but it was all big Mackerel, porpoise and a pack of sea lions under the birds. Thought I may have seen a couple of boils from the right kind but that may have been wishful seeing. On a good note, the Calicos went off inside under the birds. Big fish went just over 5 lbs and 22". It was steady from 09:30 - 12:00. Nice down hill current. Water 58.
