Conditions at LJ today?

Heading out off LJ tomorrow at grey light. Anyone else?

For anyone that went out today, how were conditions? Have heard there is a high surf warning but just for south facing beaches.

Thanks!

Dont know about around the kelp Sat, conditions were good up north but no love, I'll be out Sunday grey light hoping for a WSB in the kelp, Ive got some squid (fresh frozen) to dangle off a jig. I have some to share if interested, look for a sand ws slogging through the kelp.

Nice yellow Dave. I figured you caught something when you posted earlier today. It's good to be off the water by 9:00 A.M.

Conditions were great yesterday. Did get a small wave to the face during the 0530 launch but oh well. Coming in was really easy.

As far as fishing, all I got was a 16" calico on my sabiki. Tons of bait it the water. Made greenies, spanish and some nice sardines.
Water was crystal clear. Saw about 20 other yakkers out trying their luck. Nice meeting you Johnny in the white F&D.

Fished both open water and the kelps. Saw a guy hook and land a nice yellow. Like I said, there was SO much bait in the water that maybe the YT got their fill early. Oh well, theres always next time............

I was about thirty yards from you Dave when you hooked that fish. Blue fish and dive. Nicely done. Saw a couple big boils after you got that one but no love for me this time. Soon though....very soon.

There sure was alot of bait around that day. I'm surprised there weren't more fish cooperating! I've lost a few fish this month so I wasn't about to lose this one, I brought him up very gently!!!
