Gun For Hire / Redemption
Josh and I spoke several times on the phone and with in a week we agreed on a date to fish. I simply wanted to learn techniques, areas, knots, bait selection, line choice, and anything else I could extract from his book of knowledge. What I received was all the above plus a chance at a trophy yellow that I eventually farmed due to over tightening the drag during the fight. I think Josh was more heart broken then I was and we fished from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm trying to get a second shot but it wasn't to be. Since then I have gone back to LJ the last two weekends applying the techniques and knowledge Josh passed on to me. Sunday I was rewarded with a second chance and this time I did not disappoint the teacher. Give a man a fish and feed him for the day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for life..... Thanks Josh - we will fish again soon.. Last edited by Tandem Assassin; 07-13-2009 at 09:47 PM. |

Great catch, I feel you with the sitting at the desk all week, sucks. Way to get out and get your fish!

Good times, Jeff!

[/QUOTE] That was a giant Yellowtail, bro, the good news is she's still out there. But, yes, I was heart broken to say the least. That's the real reason I wear those glasses, so you can't see my tears...no I'm not crying it's just hot in these waders . On Sunday I couldn't have been happier to see that beast on your deck, sweet redemption. And how do I keep getting clients that make big homeguards look like rats ?
