San Diego Bay 5-9

Launched from Tidelands about 10:30. Putted around the edge of the boats and the bridge with not so much as a bite. Made my way over to the channel. The wind was blowing east so I just worked the drift across the bay. About halfway across picked up a nice 28" halibut. Shortly thereafter made two 10-12" spotties on the same gear (plastic grubs, unibutter).

By far the best day I've had on the 'yak since picking it up last year and the first keeper halibut north of the border. Thanks in no small part to the great advice found on these boards and OEX.
