Steve, thanks for the report. I don't think I have been on the 140 ever, what is the difference in Primary (initial) stability over the 160?
thanks, chris |

What a difference a day makes in the temp out there!! It totally caught me off guard. Looks like it was a pretty good morning overall. I got to get back over there one of these mornings.

Chris the 140 is a little wider and the initial stability is better though I am just as comfortable in the 160. The 140 paddles just as well just a little slower. I used the 140 for a couple of months before I tried the 160 the main reason I switched is the speed. The seating area is a few inches shorter in the footwell and I don't really notice.

Nice to see the local report I'll be heading out with the boys tomorrow morning to Alamitos bay. I was at NPH Thursday afternoon and had one short halibut and a pencilcuda both on the Yozuri crystal minnow also one nice chunky spotted bay on the cream soda big hammer wish he was around a few weeks ago could have saved me the skunk. Oh and looks like the bait receiver is back. Anyway water temp at NPH was 62 degrees come on summer fishin' season!

Steve,
Now quit pissing us off....first the 'now that I'm retired' posts, next the 'and the Yellow 160 wasn't in the rack so I paddled the RED 140 Tarpon instead' post... I know, I know, envy is a green monster... Appreciate your posts nonetheless, more so your comparisons of the T140 vs the T160. Q though...you said the seating area is a few inches shorter in the footwell and I don't really notice...is the 140 shorter, or is it the 160? I ain't going for speed anymore, just the nap factor... Keep 'em comin'.....
