Make sure you rinse it off good after each trip. Mine got surface rust on it real quick and I am pretty good about rinsing my stuff! Kind of wish I would have sprang for the Boga Grip. A bit more $ but I here they are much better made.
Also, if yours has the tape measure on it, make sure to pull the tape out and wash that down also. Mine has already rusted out and broke off completely. |

I believe and have heard from reliable sourses that these things are unhealthy for fish. Also, just another way to lose a fish at boatside and another thing to get in your way!

im useing it for fresh not the salt whould that have any effect or no?if not il probly bring it home n put it under a hairdryer lol i have one lieing around sum1 got it for me
