LJ Fish Report 5-11-23 (No takers)

Arrived at 8. Sets were coming in fast with short lulls. Mostly 3-4 footers.

Fished mostly in front of the condo in 40-60 feet of water.

Water temp was 62 - 64.5.

Water clarity was about 4-5 feet.

Didn't mark any kelp but saw a couple strands floating around.

Washing machine conditions, with about 3-5 foot swells from the NW and 2-3 foot swells from the SW.

Bait was all over. Caught 6 greenbacks (7-9inches), 2 Spanish, and 2 sardines in the first 15 minutes.

Flylined and used rubber band rig for the bottom. No bites.

Dropped a butterfly jig on bait balls and got two decent calicos. Released.

Wind was about 10mph in the morning and 15mph in the afternoon. Started seeing more white caps so headed in at 12:30

Got dumped on the way in, but the only thing I lost was a game clip. Tight lines!

You're a brave soul! 4-5 foot visibility? I don't go out unless I can see at least a couple of hundred yards.

Oof, I meant clarity, as in water clarity. I was tired. I knew I was writing visibility, but it made sense in my head, lol.

It was overcast for much of the morning, but no fog.
