Cape Mendocino Kayakers get a visit from the Taxman

On December 17th, 2022, Two kayak anglers launched at Cape Mendocino around 1130. After an hour of great fishing, one of the anglers noticed a huge splash while photographing his buddy.

It was a Great White Shark that unexpectedly appeared out of nowhere! It lifted the front end of the kayak up, circled back around once aggressively, and made another pass. The angler was quick to poke it with his fishing rod and it was gone. With adrenaline pumping, both kayakers beelined it for the shore.
