Where do you camp and fish

Where are the good spots. Going in March with the trailer. Was thinking Avila Bay Area but rockfish season isn’t open so probably not.

Montana de Oro is a cool campground just north of SLO Bay. Camped there before a few years ago, but never fished it. You can launch from the beach, but this time of year we're getting a lot of NW swell and that beach is NW facing, so you may want to watch the surf forecast to be safe... How far North are you willing to go?

Probaly no more than 5 hours but as I said I don’t know about the point of fishing up there when rockfish season is closed

Doesn’t rockfish season open in March.
