The weight difference is big, especially when you are loading that thing on the roof of your car. Me and my pops have fished in in Baja and he didn't have complaints about stability. I have a pro angler and have plenty of complaints about the weight lol. Also, the outback is more agile in the water. So unless you are a fatty like me, a PA is not exactly necessary. I have an outback and a PA14 if you want to check both out and see the differences.

I have had a PA 12 and now and Outback. I'm only 175lbs and I found the PA to be bulky and slow. I am loving the new Outback. Moves effortlessly through the water compared to the PA. If you aren't a big guy I'd go Outback...

I agree with these other guys, go with the Outback.
There was a posting for a 2019 OB on here asking $3k with Bixby. If it’s still available, that ones a good deal and you could always sell the bixby. Best of luck! |

Stability is over rated. They're both pretty heavy and cumbersome, but of the two of get the outback.

I was a die-hard PA14 fan when the 2019 and newer Outback came out with a bigger capacity, I made the switch. It is a good 1/2knot faster than the PA. There is much less space, but it works. The one thing is when a big shark comes cruising, it's a much smaller plastic barrier.
