Escon/Latigo bass fishing
First time post here.
Launched at Escon beach around 630 first light, easy surf launch without any trouble. Some reason my fishfinder didn't work so fish blind at kelp area. Got around 12 decent mixing bag of Calico and Sandbass, biggest up to 20". Also hooked up a whitefish with soft tubes... All fish released right away. Landing was a bit tricky but wasn't too bad only got some sand on my butt. Overall chilly morning but got really warm after sunrise. Kelps are submerged but still be able to be found with good sunlight. |

Thanks for the report. I really like fishing that area. It's usually pretty good and never very crowded.
