10/6 SMB Rockfishin'...Redondo

Took my lady out for some tasty reds. First time for her I was not sure she would dig the deep grinding, but I was ready to go and she said com'on one more! She got the biggest one of the day and we headed in. 7 reds All on squid and all around 260-300 feet deep. Perfect kind of day ....slept in, light winds, small seas, hungry fish.

Reds

Wanda the Fish Killer...
Love dem Reds...
I see fish tacos in your future...!

I've been using the Diawa electric reel for that 300 to 400' stuff and my arthritic hands love it...!
I also used some crawdad tails for bait last time and the bigger Reds jumped all over em...as did some big Sandies caught at 300'.
Fun stuff...glad you guys had a day off...Ill see you Saturday morning...

She said "don't they make electric reels?" I told her you used one and she said she wanted one

tacos tomorrow night we cooked some in the pan with some olive oil, lemon pepper, thyme, rosemary and garlic with a rice pilaf and the rarely seen golden acorn squash.............tasty dinner!
