Looking to find a group.....

Hay,

I moved here from Oregon and am looking to get back out there and learn to fish in So Cal. Looking for a group or individual to go with (My wife doesn’t like me going alone). Just PM me if you are interested or willing.

Boat is a Revo 13, looking to get an Outback soon.

Thanks
Brian E.

Helps to know the area you are wanting to fish.
I am in the Ventura and north la county and go try to get out every weekend.

I would be coming from Ridgecrest. I just got back from spending the weekend near Malibu. I can be in North LA in 3hrs. I am looking to make the trek once a month give or take.

I fish Malibu from time to time between boat rides. Keep us posted when you plan on getting out.

My name is Ron, just joined today. Out of Laguna Woods. Looking for other Kayak guys to hook up with. I would love to go out of La Jolla. I have watched several YouTube videos catching Yellowtail. Can anyone tell me how far out you go for the yellowtail? I have a 2019 Hobie Compass. Fishfinder, live bait tank, fully rigged.

I am retired and can go out about anytime. I have been fishing Dana Point the last few weeks.

I live in Laguna Niguel and fish DP quite often. Might go tomorrow morning as well.

Hi Ron, glad to see you joined BWE. I had told him about it as a great resource.

My brother Jon and I met Ron at the DP launch ramp this past Wednesday and he asked to tag along which was fine with us. Got some smallish sardines at the bait barge and headed out to the middle barber pole and fished the pipe for a couple of decent sand bass. Ron got his on bait and I got mine on a mint Hookup bait. Had some other short biters but fishing was generally slow so we headed inside to Doheny and Capo Beach to try for halibut as the tide was rising. Had a few baits raked and one good hookup that eventually came unbuttoned. Water was 61-62 degrees and pretty cloudy but the wind stayed away. Just nice to get back on the water again.

If you’d like to make your way down there. 🎣
