NEW YEARS in Mako-Ville
we will take it down with us on the 6th of December. We hope to relax and fish for a week. Coming home around the 16th. Will be home until the 26th of December then going back to Mako-ville for the NEW YEAR. Two years ago we celibrated New Years in Mako-Ville, we caught a few fish, enjoyed good company and spent New Years Eve at the La Poma Restaurant. Lous brought a keroke machine and Jeff Lowe seranated us all in Spanish, English and maybe Chineese. A great time was had by all. Last year is lost in my mind. I was out of my mind in Mako-ville. I had a very bad bone infection in my foot and remember very little. I know my friends got me to the hospital just across the border in the US. In early Janurary they took my big toe. In early March I was back in Vista California and had my left foot removed as the bone infection was still trying to kill me. After they took the foot I spent a couple of months in a nursing home. NOW in just 22 MOORE days I will be doing New Years in Mako-Ville AGAIN. This year should be GREAT. My health is back, I feel better than I have in 10+ years. On my last trip to MakoV I fished 4 days in a row. On the Asuncion trip I fished 7 out of 10 days. Game on. There are a few of us going for the New Years trip, if you want to join us look under EVENTS and let Dave know. Thank you all for a wonderful year, tight lines. MERRY CHRISTMAS my friends, join me in camp for NEW YEARS if you can.

And the beat goes on. While not the best fishing of the year, the New Years get together is always a lot of fun. Good food, good friends, and fair fishing, makes this trip very relaxing and enjoyable for all.

Hi Bob, is there any chance a newcomer could tag along ?
This is my very first post here, I just joined today... I'm posting here because I couldn't find the "Events" section you mentioned in your post... perhaps this is on Facebook? (I sent a request there too) Anyway, I'm on a sort of "mid-life vacation" recovering from too much work/years in the dark and cold Canadian Arctic... I've been on the road for the past five months now and I very much intend to stay warm this winter. I drove from Quebec, to Yukon, Alaska before heading south... BC, Washington, Oregon, California... I got in San Diego a couple days ago and was gonna spend the holidays by myself around here and explore/fish Baja in January, but I would definitely not mind going fishing and spend New Year with good people instead... That's my current ride... Cheers Max |
