Hit the water at 6:20. First fish 12 inch spotty. With a very mushy tide I was thinking that is all I might get. But I was Wrong. I had enough to keep me interested. Then the big rock was hooked and I miss played in into a broken fly rod. So what do you do with 2/3 of a fly rod, you wrap the bottom end and continue fishing. I caught 8 fish in 2.5 hours and 4 on 2/3 of a fly rod. This was the last one. 13.5 inches. Water temp. 67.5 Deg. Called it a day at 9:00.. So much for American Tackle home build fly rods, Back to Echo. Mark F. |

Nice report! My my last visit there was not as productive but water temps were crazy 70's also. I think that place is ideal for fly rod since its so shallow. Not my favorite place to fish but if I do go back, Im bringing fly rods!!
