Few things are as satisfying as catching a fish on lures one created themselves. Good luck with them.
Nice work. |

Nice!
Looks like you have spent a lot of time creating those lures. Beautiful, and it will be a bonus if they work!

Good looking stuff there Mitchell. I thought I'd share a photo of a legendary home made lure. This lure was made out of a knife handle, purchased at a garage sale. It was made by "Svendawg" who visited me here in Bahia Asuncion on a few occasions. It currently holds a record here in Asuncion. Sven caught and released 21 yellowtail on this lure...... in one day. Granted they were not all brutes that haunt these waters but certainly all would have been put in the kill bag in La Jolla. Sven has since moved to Arkentucky or some place in the south. He left this lure with me, or I might have stolen it while he was asleep but in his honor, I have never used it.

Thanks for the compliments.....
If a wood unpainted round cedar plug with a leadhead works I think I'll be all right. And I have caught a lot of tuna and dorodo with cedar plugs

I have a test site I go to I call it popper point....
But a pool would be great to see my lures under water with a mask and snorkel
