Navionics

New to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jason and I’m a Navionics Marine Specialist for kayak fishing. I currently paddle a Jackson Cuda HD (I know, not a Hobie) and I use a Hummingbird Helix 5 DI w/Navionics. I hope I can be a resource for the group and add to the discussion. Please let me know if you have any questions concerning Navionics.

As a Navionics Marine Specialist for kayak fishing, what is it you do? Can you please elaborate a little so I can understand how we might draw upon your knowledge and experience as a resource?

Welcome to BWE :-)

Mr. NiceGuy, I represent Navionics to other kayak anglers as a “technical” field rep. I’ll try and help you resolve issues you may have, or find someone who can and I’ll keep people on the forum informed of any changes, new items, updates or any general awesomeness that we are putting out there.

What's up Jason Welcome. Not really sure what technical issues you would have with plugging in the chip and just using it.

But maybe you can advise what chip I would need to include So-cal coast and sea of cortez the baja side.

disappearing Navionics+ map

I purchased Navionics+ about 2 1/2 yrs ago. After 1 year it stopped showing Navionics+ and now just shows Navionics witch has little bottom detail. Was not able to call them (no number on web site). Talked to them via email so I tried downloading it many times but no luck.

Navionics+ cost me almost $200 at the time. Was unable to download the right stuff. Have since moved on and use Insight maps now.

I thought I could use it forever for $200. One year was it.

Very unhappy with Navionics they owe me $200 in my humble opinion.

Why is the location of things like the pipe at DP shown on Navionics off by about 100 yards from where it actually is?

disappearing Navionics+ map

So Navionicspecjason. Wondering why I haven't heard from you since my post.
Navionics didn't help me last time I needed help. So let's see if Jason will actually help me get my Navionics+ maps back.

I’m sorry, it’s been crazy at work (my real job, not Navionics) what vintage is your card, and did you reup your subscription?

West Coast and Hawaii map should cover it.

Not sure...if you can record the sonar chart for the area and add a community edit, that should get fixed.

Ok, I reread your original post and that answered my stupid questions lol. I’ve never heard of a plus card doing that...for what it’s worth at this point, I’ll ask around.
