Battle of the Bays Results...Dana Point

Battle of the Bays Round Two, final results:
Frank Santiago from team Hookup Baits took home the Hobie Pro Angler 14 with a bag total of 56.25" to have the longest bag in the Dana Point tourney and the tournament trail overall. Frank also won a $500 gift card to Dana Landing from Steve Pinard. Pure Watersports, Channel Islands Kayak Center, Fastlane and OEX Sunset Beach were our Hobie sponsors for the Battle of the Bays tourneys and they all equally donated to the cost of the Pro Angler 14'. Thanks Kevin, Morgan, and Tim at Hobie...

Second place in the tourney series was Tony Park who also won second place yesterday at Pure Watersports. Tony received a card for $250 in Okuma gear.
Tony Park now has a Bixpy jet kit for his Pro Angler. He won the Bixpy motor by catching the longest bass of the four tournaments at 20".
Thanks Daniella and Houman from Bixpy…!

Ikaika Park was third with 51.5 inches of bass. Ikaiak won a $125 card for Promar/AHI products.
Fourth place went to the youngest of the "Chang Gang", Cameron Chang with 50.75"
Camron has a $75 card for some Hookup Baits.

The 4 day trip to Cedros Kayak Fishing was drawn and Jared Advincula was the excited winner of this great trip donated by Jeff Mariani.

The Mity Might contest was won by none other than Dale Shaw again…although David Cheaney was awarded the Reaper rod by Roddy.

Hitomi Hammond was the winner of our first Womens division. She received a pair of pink Promar fillet gloves and a pair of Costa sunglasses. We had 4 women entered in our last tourney. Congrats Ladies…!

Ken Rosburg won the Blind Bogey contest with a Sand Bass that was closest to our target size. Ken took home a 2 speed Penn Fathom Reel for his little bass…!

Thomas Warsheski shattered the field in the Heaviest Fish Side Pot…he won $500 with a HUGE 58.1lbs. White Sea Bass. Congrats to you Mr. Warsheski for a job well done…!

There are lots of photos and a few videos on the CCA CAL Facebook page...

OK...I'm off to the Sierras at the end of the week so you guys can have your website back again...THANKS to ANDY and BRENT for all the support of CCA CAL and our series of kayak tournaments...!

This series was beyond fun! I really like how it got me and my wife out of our Redondo bubble and try new places. Thank you to all the sponsors for making this happen and showing me all the stuff I need. A special thank you Jim for your inspiration and helping us newbs start catching.
