LJ this Sat 5/19 anyone else?

Morning gents, heading out to LJ this Sat for try at it. Last year was fun but no cigar. I'll be in a grey hobie outback! WS predicting 2-3ft and 5-10mph winds. Should be an adventure getting out and coming back in as 1st experience waves were 1-2. Hope to see anyone from BW out there!

Plan to hit the Shores too

Planning to be down at the Shores launch at about 5:30 Saturday morning. I'm on an olive green Hobie Revo 13. C'mon over and say hello if you see me. Hope it is sunnier than today, but I'll settle for an active bite over sunshine any day!

How was it? Saw some kayaks capsized on the webcam this afternoon but thinking of heading out in the morning.

Nobody caught and there were many kayaks out and a few boats. Bait was easy to be caught. Wind was steady all morning and I called it quits around noon. waves were not a problem for me both in and out. The kayaks on the webcam were likely all the folks with rentals. That was a treat to watch. Met a fellow BWE member Edward on the beach.

Surf was manageable with some sets a little higher and close intervals. Out side it started out calm and with some large rollers the wind started to pick up mid morning and made it rougher on the out side. The wind just made it mostly having to cover up to stay warm. Came in around 12:45 and did not see any boat or kayak land any thing large. Bait is around and sometimes you load up right away and others if you just keep moving you find the bait balls. Had plenty of bait, saw some good marks on the FF, but found no player, yesterday. Even found some bait jumping, but no action throwing my flat fall jig into the bait balls.

Thanks for the info guys. Today was very similar. Lots of bait but the seals were making quick work or it. Water temps were 63.4-63.8 and there was Loren of bait puddling and birds all excited. Tossing jigs into the feeds only resulted in big fat mackerel.

Ate it coming back through the surf but everything was stowed and leashed so no damage done.

Likewise, had the same experience Saturday as most of the others who commented above. My buddy was out spearfishing and he only saw one barracuda but no yellows or wsb. I picked up some rockfish but even that bite was slow. They were barfing up red crabs when I landed them.
