Makobob UPDATE 10 May 2018
Robert Moore
Just now Post amputation day 75 is TOMORROW. Here is the update. Wound Doctors visit today. He is smiling and stated it is coming along at a steady pace. Again today he debrided the wound, down to pink, bloody meat. After dressing the wound he prescribed oral antibiotics to kill the minor staff infection growing on the wound. He wanted the antibiotics to end after a week, and told me to take my Baja trip on the 20-28th. He will again look at the wound on the 17th and then not until after my Baja trip on the 31st of May. He did remind my to use lots of sun protection because the antibiotics make us super sensitive to the sun. This was GREAT news for me as I have his blessings to do the trip. Baja here I come. Watch out fish. One legged fisherman headed your way. It will be so much fun to be in camp with the guys again. Tight Lines amigos. Hope to sea you all there.
