Yes don't feed the dogs. It teaches them to follow and take what is yours not theirs. Next time that cute seal will be taking your yellow at the side of your kayak.

Never feed the POS seals, you definitely broke the cardinal rule of kayak fishing. If you want to feed these roaches, theres seaworld.

Great job on finding the fish! I love catching bonito on light tackle. Quickly bleed them and ice them for best eating I think.
Andy PS: Thanks for being cool with the suggestions of the commenters above, they are spot on. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/l...405-story.html Last edited by acorad; 09-27-2017 at 12:19 PM. |

The only "roaches" in La Jolla are the human beings, especially the trolls on the forum who hate on beginners and make up rules about fishing.

What does hate have to do with the advice of not feeding dogs!? I too say don't feed them, then do what you want and enjoy your fishing.

A. It's not your fish until it is in the boat (or kayak).
B. It's not important what the animals are called, they eat fish. C. They are quick learners, feed them once and they will catch on. D. It's a good idea to not encourage them to look at kayaks (or boats) as sources for food. E. They can get aggressive, and they are bigger then you.
