I don't know if he is closed or not. It would be a shame if he went out of business. I can say that he is very hard to get ahold of. When I got my paddle a couple years ago it took a couple email and phone attempts to reach him spanning a month or so. I haven't tried to reach him since then. Email was the best bet then.
The all carbon paddle he makes is worth it. I can't say enough about it. Patrick (the owner) is just very tough to get ahold of in my experience, but it is well worth the wait. If you are impulsive you can go to a kayak shop and get a paddle.

I spent a month trying unsuccessfully to order a paddle from the guy a few years back. Got fed up & bought a Werner & I love it.

I used email and it took a couple weeks to get through. It was worth it. Patrick called me at home and talked for over an hour about every nuance of paddle design and what I needed and why. I ended up with a custom paddle made just for me at a very competitive price and an education on paddling. He is hard to contact because he is in demand................

It's becuase his product is that good, at a very reasonable price when compared to Werner, AT, or any of the major paddle brands. I think it is worth the wait to get an ONNO.
