5/21 Launch Opening Celebration of the Yellow Kind...

Launched at 5:30. Did I also already say I hate short interval surf? Took 4 to the chest. Bait no where, then at some point in time, it was everywhere! Got lit up trolling first Mac, somehow avoided all the dogs. After I gaffed Mr YT, two dogs come flying in.

Saw YT breaching surface chasing bait fish. What a day!

Did I mention the short interval surf? Waves caught me and turned me sideways. I had to jump out!

Nice having the launch back!

Nice!

I usually just jump out at waist deep, especially after a hot day on the water! Feels so nice to cool off and walk the yak in with a catch!

Congrats on a nice Yellow, a short day and having the launch back open. I'll be hitting it up tomorrow.

I usually do that but waves were fast and grouped close. Yak didn't flip, my exit just didn't look cool, but I grabbed the YT quick to save face. Haha!

Too short. I was home by 9. Knew it was going to be a hot day, so quickly back to the launch!

Good luck tomorrow a lot of activity out there!

Located at the end of Via De La Playa. Off load then park in the parking lot. Yes you may drive onto the sand. Be aware that many have gotten stuck in the sand without fwd.

Sweet!

I also do the jump off and hold on trick when there is any size to the surf. It's much better than a yard sale...IMHO.

Thanks for sharing!!!

Congrats on the nice yellow, and thanks for the report.

Webcam today looks like a little runoff today caused minor damage to the launch.

LJ Marine sanctuary

So I have yet to fish LJ. How far out do you have to go to get past the sanctuary? I was looking at a map someone posted and it looks to me like you have to get out past the point? Are there buoys marking the restricted area?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated
