Silver Lake

Fishing Silver Lake after driving through the last 30 or so miles on Monday in the snow it finally cleared up. Tuesday was super windy, only 2 other kayaks, one float tube and no boats, but no fish. Today was much better only fished for about 4 1/2 hours and caught 3, lost another and released one that was small about 1 lb. Weather should get better and hope to load up then. I love it up here, it's beautiful and I've enjoyed coming up here once or twice a year the last 4 years. If you have never come here, you need to put it on your bucket list. I have found that Thomas Buoyant in 1/6 or 1/4 oz in watermelon, rainbow trout or brown trout paterns work best.

Traier

Yeah it's really roomy and warm. Last year I came up with my other trailer (soon to be up for sale) and while looking at the others that were here I told the wife, we need one with a slide for more interior space for the trips when we bring out dogs (4). My extra large Lab would lay in the walk way and hog it up. Always had to step over him, not anymore. Thanks Jim, Mark.

Nice post Mark.

Great setup you got there, super jealous. I love that area and I'm hoping to get my two little kids up there in the next couple years as they get a little older. So beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

It is definitely beautiful up here in the sierras. Today is another sunny day and the winds should be diminishing. Hope to get out to LJ Monday or Tuesday, for some of that action you just got.
