What say you?

I have enough rewards point with American Express card to get this free.

It only weighs 27 lbs., so I can take it to Catalina for fishing, but more importantly lobster hooping.

I may make outriggers for further stability.

So what do you think? Any comments?

Not sure about how it wold be on the ocean, might be a little cramped. It looks good for the local lakes here that don't allow sit on top kayaks though...

My brother and I got a set of sevylor inflatable kayaks when we were young and fished out of them for many years. They were slow and uncomfortable. Stuff that fell often got stuck between the floow and the side wall. However, despite being careless kids we never managed to puncture them.

Hashem, they are still slow and paddle like a barge, but they will get you a lobster or two or forty. You will have to build a rack to hold your nets. Tight Lines arkadash.

Well,

It seems that is the only way to have a kayak during nights at Avalon.

A friend maybe getting a free boat which he has to get motor for it.

He says I can go with him, but nothing so far.

Hey as much as you go there you must have met some locals by now. Start talking to them and get a rental for the time you are there. Heck if I lived there and you wanted to pay me a couple hundred bucks for a weeks rental of my kayaks I would jump on it. Just another thought.

The islanders that I know, most have boats.

So far I have not been invited, but also the logistics of going on a boat with all of my gear has not worked out yet.

Believe you me, I have tried to make it work.

It was all great until the MLPA kicked in.
