Cat

A cat dug it out of a dumpster from behind one of the many local restaurants.

It's missing it's eyeball so it's very possible that it may not have not known which way it was swimming and ended up in LJ

About 15 years ago when i used to Yak fish a lot, I witnessed a salmon caught on a swim bait out of the LJ kelp. Some college kids just farting around on a boat caught it and asked me what it was. I didn't know the regs and suggested they release it. They threw it in a cooler and kept fishing.

Salmon do get caught off SD occasionally. But that's the head from a farm raised Atlantic salmon. Mike

Yep, one was caught earlier this summer off Dana Point.

Somewhere, an Asian person is thinking, "What a waste of good food". (I'm Asian, so I can say that.)
