Baja (La Salina's) Report 7/9/16

Drove down friday night to stay at my friends beach pad. Launched from the harbor and headed straight to the boiler rocks off the beach. It was a full speed Calico bite. You'd think these fish have never seen swimbaits before. Caught around 40 fish in 2 hours. Nice grade of bass. Headed in to see if I could find any halibut in the harbor, made about 10 drifts for no love. Fished a few docks and landed my PB Spotty.

Did you have any trouble getting out at the marina. Do you have to be a member or is it open to the public.

Yeah, it came out water that was the same color. It was totally murkey. Locals claim the harbor is usually really good for halibuts but that its been slow this since spring
