Happy birthday, Mr. Shakespeare!

Finally managed to hook up after replacing the drags in my TLD15. Been dying to test it out for the past three weeks. No more sticky drags means no more farmed fish. I'm still smarting after losing 3 (!) fish in half an hour last month when the drag was seizing up on me and going from zero to infinity

Anyways, I enthusiastically recommend carbontex washers for any of you TLD15 users who find the stock drags a little sticky when the reel gets old. My shit is metamucil smooth now, and there was no question that this guy was coming into the boat.

24.5 pounds and quite the fighter. Kelp cutter rig proved absolutely essential.

Thanks to the guys in that super-sweet Parker for the otw action shots.

Yup.

Forgot to mention, also hooked a decent thresher. Got to watch it slash at my bait on the troll for a bit, which was fun, but it bit through the leader almost immediately during the initial, blistering run, so I never got a chance at getting it to the boat.

Awesome!

I was going to fish today, however I decided to finish buffing out all my clients pools and spas. Got 2 maybe 3 days more before I'll be able to fish a couple times a week...can't wait!

Thanks for the report!!

Enjoy your fresh hamachi!!!

Congrats on a nice Yellow. The best sleigh ride I ever got was by a large Thresher , close to a mile in distance and then went air borne did a 180 in midair and cut my 65lb braided with it's tail.
