Hobie Live Well Question
I more than likely will end up with the KFS Bait Tank as it is what's recommended, but for $100 more, I was wondering if the Hobie Livewell can be rigged to go down the scuppers of other kayaks, and if losing that little bit of drag is even worth the extra $100?

The livewell works perfectly in the Thresher. The downspout tube doesn't fit into the scupper but it hovers over in a spot where it drains normally.

Had transducer hanging
Over the side . It sucked . The amount of drag was noticeable . If you can afford it and make it work , I say for go it .

Hey man, how does yours prime? I thought that scupper tube was needing to reach down into the water so water can be sucked into the tank? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVBEfJqLdBo

Right, the intake tube needs to align with a scupper for it to work. It just happens to work in the thresher.
If you know anyone who has a hobie bait tank try to see if it'll work. The stock intake tube is long enough to get into the water So the Hobie can work in other kayaks under the right circumstances. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked in both because I like the Hobie tank. Hopefully this helps Last edited by Stuck20; 04-20-2016 at 11:39 AM. Reason: formatting |
