Huntington Harbor - PCH Bridge

I am aware of the rule against crossing under the PCH bridge on a kayak.

However, can one pass that string of buoys directly across from it? It seems like those buoys simply notify boaters that it may be more shallow or a dead end in there. I didn't seen any mention of MPA from the DFG website, so I was going to try my luck in that area.

That's entering the reserve.

I believe you can cross the bridge but you can't fish the area between the bridge and open water. As far as the buoys go I believe you cannot cross them because its a protected habitat/zone of some type.

You can't go underneath the bridge in personal watercraft. I was told by another guy in a kayak that he got a ticket for just nosing under the bridge. They won't cut you any slack at all.

You also can't go beyond the buoy line on the other side of the bay.

Guys, I found the ordinance disallowing kayaks past the bridge, but I cannot find any info on the buoys or the fact that it's a reserve. i guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

I was stopped by enforcement 10 years ago when I was across the buoys in a float tube. It's a reserve. Don't do it

Just went out yesterday for the first time in Huntington and found out we were not suppose to cross the bridge. We got a warning from one of the towers. Went back then the sheriff said there is a posted sign at the bridge and lucky he did not shot us.

We read the sign but it says nothing about kayaks. Oh well, I guess no going under the bridge from now on.
