On water around 8:30 AM. Current was flowing west in the early going, the slight northwest. No bites around in the early going, went to the kelp beds. Messed around and got a triple double on the mega bait (bonitos, mackerals and calicos). At that point current was moving at a very steady pace southward. water temp was 72. All fish were caught and released today.
Tried to get something bigger by trolling and drifting a greenback, but nothing wanted to play. Around 2 the wind waves started kicking up and top and mid water column fishing died so checked back into the barn. No pics this time, as nothing really special. Biggest fish was probably an about an 18" bonito. Good luck out there... |
