New to Form...saying HI

Hi All,
Josh from Ventura, life long fisherman, my dad is a local flyfishing guide part time...so I spent 95% of my past 30 years freshwater trout fishing. For the last year or so I have been kayak fishing in my parts and getting die hard for ocean fishing. I am looking to get down to Orange County or La Jolla for some bigger better action...looking to meet up with some of you over the next 3-8 weeks. I have friends to stay with in San Diego and Newport. Running a 10' wilderness kayak. Looking to get out the last weekend of August...Blessings.

Welcome! Catch a mackerel for bait, troll it near some kelp and see what happens...then repeat. Good luck!

Hey Josh,

Welcome to the madness. You might consider signing up for the Sept 12 tournament in LJ.

Some weak arses might say: It's too crowded wah, wah, wah...
So many yaks might put the fish down blah, blah, blah...
But what better way is there to meet some of the best inshore fishing dudes and dudettes around? Iceman...Fulrac...Sharon...MakoRoberto...EASTON!.. .

There's no better cause (James Lebowitz Computer Science Scholarship)...
The food will be tops...
Meet a ton of good yak peeps on Sept 12.
Fish the day before and/or the day after the tourney
Start building your network...for ONLY 30 bucks!

ChuckieD is taking me to his favorite lobster spot in October...I got a tip one time from the Sewer Boys, ran up to Malibu and drove home with a 33# butt....and then there's the time Adi told me to fish over at...

Welcome to the board Josh.. I'm nearby in Camarillo.

Like Jim said the tourney is a great intro to the community.. I am 90% sure I'm going and if you want to carpool let me know.

Lots of great areas to fish closer to home like areas that start with the letter M and G and don't forget about S...
